Meet Our Newest Author: R. D. Kardon!
Good writers are easy to spot. When I read Robin's submission I knew after the first few pages she had talent. That was obvious. But for us, good writing is only half of the package. It's really important for Holly and I to work with people we like, people who share our passion. When we met Robin in person we instantly connected, and that sealed the deal. She was full of energy and smiles. We wanted her! Thankfully Robin didn't make us beg...too much ;) We're so happy she has joined our Acorn family!
Robin's debut novel, FLYGIRL, takes readers behind the scenes in international corporate aviation where her main character, Tris, encounters harassment, discrimination and abuse as she integrates an all-male corporate flight department in the late 90’s.
Robin is a former corporate and airline pilot with an Airline Transport Pilot certificate and three Captain qualifications. She had a twelve-year flying career that took her all over the world in every type of airplane from small single-engine Cessnas to the Boeing 737.
She also holds a B.A. in Journalism and Sociology from NYU and a law degree from American University.
Robin's novel, FLYGIRL, will be released through Acorn in January of 2019
under the name R. D. Kardon
